Question:  I tuned my piano a few years ago.  Do I need to tune it again?

Answer:  All pianos should be tuned at least once a year.  You may say, “I do not play it very much.”  Even if you do not play it at all, the strings will gradually lose the proper tension and will go out of tune.  You may say, “I do play daily, but I do not hear it going out of tune.”  Depending on your musical training, you may or may not notice, but remember, even the best pianos in the world need frequent tuning.  If you did have the chance to play another well-tuned piano, surely then you would notice that your piano does not sound tuned.

Question:  My piano is very old...can it be tuned?

Answer:  The prior record of maintenance and present condition will determine the outcome.  If you do not know  those facts, the only way is to try, knowing that we put forth our very best efforts to make it work.  We do not sell pianos new or restored.  Our interest is in having your instrument working in the best possible manner.  Unlike individuals who may rush to tell you that your piano is too old and offer you an “alternative”, we will try the best with what you have at the present time.
